Creating Care Packages
Details
Come join us on Saturday, October 24 @ 1:30pm-3pm as we put together care packages for our houseless community. Our goal is to create 100 baggies filled with toothbrushes, sanitary products, snacks, water, candy for the Halloween season - and more!
We will have already:
- 100 baggies
- 100 hair tie bundles
- 100 sanitary product bundles
- 100 toothbrush+paste bundles
- 100 water bottles
- Printed local resources
- An assortment of snacks and candy
Please feel free to bring:
- Pre-packaged snacks (we want to avoid any loose foods)
- Floss
- Special notes
- Hand warmers
- Wipes
- Hand sanitizer
- Anything!
Seattle/King County area has the third-largest homeless population in the United States, behind only New York City and Los Angeles. There are so many homeless youth and young adults in Seattle and our hope is to bring connection through care packages, rather than a transactional give-away and pat on the back. Everyone at the event will be able to take the care packages with them!
We hope to create a space for people wanting to help people, especially as the holidays and rainy season comes in. Thank you for joining us!
