Group led by Affordable Counseling Interns, Reese Nguyen and Marissa Swartz

This is a 7-session therapy group designed to help participants understand how their cultural upbringing, identity, and emotional learning shape the way they relate to others. Through a blend of guided discussion, psychoeducation, and experiential practice, members will build emotional literacy, strengthen communication and boundaries, and develop skills for navigating conflict, rupture, and repair. The group emphasizes self-awareness, mutual understanding, and real-time relational feedback to support more authentic, connected, and effective relationships both inside and outside the group.

Group will meet virtually every Friday from 3pm-4:30pm beginning February 6th and going for 7 weeks
Group topics and activities will include:

  • Cultural narratives, influences, and identity
  • Relationship patterns and attachment
  • Communication styles and boundaries
  • Conflict, rupture, and repair
