The Short Reads Club Aims to be a celebration of short-form writing, perfect for anyone who wants to join a book club but doesn't have the time or energy to invest in longer reads, people looking for a gentle route back into regular reading, and, of course, general fans of short stories.
Each month we will read a different short story. We read across all genres and always welcome suggestions of great pieces to add to our tbr.
This month we are reading Claire Keegan's The Forester's Daughter.
We meet in The Amnesty Bookshop on Micklegate, usually on the first Sunday of the month. Teas and coffees will be available, and you are welcome to BYOB. We suggest a voluntary donation of a minimum £1 per attendee, which will go directly to the charity for use of their space.
