Hike at Allerton Park and Nature Center

As requested by our members, let's do a hike at Allerton Park! Just an hour and a half away from Peoria, this park, nature center, and retreat is home to many beautiful statues, a nice garden, hiking trails around the perimeter, and is quietly surround by farmland.

We will meet at the Target East Peoria parking lot around 10:20am and leave at 10:30 sharp. Please post in the comments below or on our Discord server (https://discord.gg/D3ATJ6aKSx) if there is interest in carpooling.

After the hike, we can check out some restaurants in Champaign, or hit up some places in Bloomington. Both these towns have a variety of food, indoor/outdoor restaurants, and great vibes for a relaxing dinner after a day of hiking.

As always, dress appropriately for the weather - bring sunscreen, bug spray, and be prepared if it starts to rain. We will choose between the garden, perimeter hiking trails, statue tour, or a mix of all the above depending on member interest.
