Singing for Beginners - Taster Session

Monday 20th April – 6.30pm–7.40pm
If you’ve always wanted to sing but never quite had the confidence… this is your moment.
Whether you only sing in the shower, used to love singing years ago, or simply want to meet new people while learning a new skill, this relaxed taster session is the perfect place to start.
You’ll be joining a friendly group of adults who are all here for the same reason — to explore their voice, build confidence, and enjoy an uplifting evening together.

What you'll experience -

• A warm, supportive session led by Stage & the City
• Simple vocal exercises to help you find your voice (no experience needed)
• A chance to explore different musical styles, (musical theatre, soul, pop etc) in a fun, pressure‑free way
• A welcoming group of likeminded people who want to grow, connect, and have fun

And for those who want to take things further, there’s the optional opportunity to perform in Stage & the City’s charity showcase on Saturday 4th July. No pressure, just a wonderful experience if you choose it.

Always wanted to try musical theatre dance but worried you’re “not a dancer”? This taster session is designed exactly for you.

About the full course
Our 11‑week Musical Theatre Dance course is all about confidence, expression, and joy. You’ll learn routines inspired by iconic shows, improve coordination and musicality, and discover how empowering it feels to move your body in a supportive environment.
This isn’t about perfection — it’s about enjoyment, energy, and letting go.

# Acting for Beginners – Taster Session

Thursday 23rd April – Jacksons Lane, Highgate
If you’ve ever thought about trying acting — or you just want to feel more confident speaking, expressing yourself, and meeting new people — this taster session is the perfect place to start.
You don’t need experience. You don’t need to be “dramatic”. You don’t need to know anything at all. Just bring yourself, a bit of curiosity, and a willingness to try something new alongside a group of likeminded adults.
You’ll be joining people who are all here for the same reason: to grow, connect, and have fun in a relaxed, supportive environment.

It’s perfect for anyone who wants to:

• Break out of the “work from home → scroll → sleep → repeat” cycle
