Join us for a taster class delivered by Stage & the City. Learn acting from top industry professionals.

Are you interested in finding out more about what it takes to be an actor: what goes on in the rehearsal room; how you take a script from page to stage and the techniques an actor uses to be able to recreate a performance eight shows a week? This course is all about play! You will play games and improvise, whilst also getting the opportunity to rehearse and perform scripted duologues and monologues from British and American playwrights, using a range of acting techniques from practitioners including Stanislavski, Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg and Uta Hagen.

The new term starts on 1st May 2025 so we are offering the first class of the term as a taster class to try the course before committing. All ages above 18 years old are welcome. You are never too old to try something new.

If you enjoy this workshop and wish to continue with the course you will have the opportunity to do so.
