Musical Theatre Dance - Taster Session

Always wanted to try musical theatre dance but worried you’re “not a dancer”? This taster session is designed exactly for you.
Whether you’ve never taken a dance class in your life, haven’t danced since school, or simply want a fun way to move, laugh, and meet new people, this session is a warm, welcoming introduction to the world of musical theatre.
You’ll be joining a friendly group of adults who are all here for the same reason — to try something new, build confidence, and enjoy a feel‑good evening together.

What you’ll experience

• A relaxed, supportive class led by Stage & the City
• Simple choreography inspired by West End musicals (no experience needed)
• A chance to explore musical theatre style in a fun, pressure‑free way
• A lovely group of likeminded people who want to move, connect, and have a great time

About the full course
Our 11‑week Musical Theatre Dance course is all about confidence, expression, and joy. You’ll learn routines inspired by iconic shows, improve coordination and musicality, and discover how empowering it feels to move your body in a supportive environment.
This isn’t about perfection — it’s about enjoyment, energy, and letting go.

And for those who want to take things further, there’s the optional opportunity to perform in Stage & the City’s charity showcase on Saturday 4th July. No pressure, just a wonderful experience if you choose it.
