Hello and thanks for being a part of our Dallas-Fort Worth Art, Food & Travel Lovers / Texas History & Culture Meetup. Since our founding in May of 2022, we’ve hosted over 100 great events, both online and in-person.
Thanks for your amazing support!

In an effort to offer more events, and to offer more different types of events, we wanted to reach out to our members to see if any of you would be interested in either co-hosting or hosting a Meetup event with us.
It’s really easy to do (we have a template to use), no experience is necessary, we will help with whatever is needed, you can put in on your resume, and you meet a lot of interesting people.
Hosting a Meetup could be something as simple as …
- Leading a walk through a favorite place or a historic neighborhood (it can just be a walk not a tour).
- Attending a docent tour or lecture at a museum such as the Dallas Museum of Art, Kimbell Art Museum, Amon Carter Museum of American Art, etc.
- Visiting a restaurant, food tasting, performing arts venue, book discussion, film screening, art gallery, or special event.
- Anything similar - your ideas.
- Or perhaps you have a friend that is a museum docent, historical site volunteer, re-enactor, author, teacher, artist or related that would be interested in meeting up with our group?
- Or if you already host Meetup events elsewhere perhaps we could collaborate?
Most of the events we host are free, or low-cost, but we're open to new ideas.
If you or anyone know is interested in being part of our Texas History & Culture organization please let me know.

Also, are you on LinkedIn?
Many people ask me what I do professionally outside of Meetup.
I’m in the business world - the Chief Financial Officer for a company here in the DFW – and periodically teach history courses.
