Intermediate Hike @ Wissahickon South Trail

Join us for a 6ish mile intermediate level hike on the Wissahickon South Trailhead in Chestnut Hill. This hike will be on completely different trails than our July Wissahickon hike, as we will start the hike further south.
We will meet in the Valley Green Road Parking Lot at 8:45 am and begin the hike at 9.00 am. Our hike will move south on the White Trail to the Blue Stone Bridge. We will then return to the parking lot walking along the river on Orange Trail, including a stop at the scenic Devil’s Pool.
*NOTE* This is an intermediate level hike for distance, terrain-roots, multiple water crossings, and elevation changes. Hiking poles are suggested. We will break as needed. Bring a backpack with extra supplies to carry hydration, snacks, first aid equipment, rain gear and an extra pair of socks is an excellent idea. The trail maybe muddy, so good quality broken in hiking boots are recommended. The hike will only be cancelled for lightning, or heavy rain/high winds.
