Shab-e-yalda is the longest night of the year. We celebrate this night by getting together with friends. This is a dinner party for all members with Persian food and pastry, Aadjil (dried fruits with mixed nuts), pomegranate, and watermelon. And....we read Hafiz to ask for his advice on whatever is on our minds…

Cafe Nadery is located in Greenwich Village. It's very close to major subway lines and just minutes away from Midtown Manhattan.

Below is the dinner menu with prices:

$35 per person

APPETIZERS:
Dried Fruits and Nuts, Pomegranate, Watermelon and Golpar Platter (to share)
Roasted Eggplant & Iranian Garden (appetizers to share, 1 for 3 people)ENTRÉE:
Ghormeh Sabzi, served with rice
or Lubia Polo (can be made vegetarian)DESSERT:
Baklava (pistachio) & vanilla saffron ice-cream (one scoop)
Drinks: regular coffee or Persian tea

If you wish to have alcoholic drinks you can order and pay for your own alcoholic drinks.

we are having a HAFIZ poetry reading and I am looking for volunteers to read in Persian or English (or both). Volunteers will read for 15 minutes each and should let me know their preferred time when they'd like to read.
