About us
Persian poetry is is a rich artistic tradition spanning over thousands of years. Its harmonic rhythms, and deep spiritual and romantic meanings, create an enchanting space of that is much needed in the disconnected world today. From ancient masters like Rumi and Hafez to contemporary masters such as Forough and Simin, every Persian poem is a beautiful world to be discovered. Regardless of whether you’re persian or not if you love persian poetry, and want to bring more of it into your life this group is for you! Cafés have been meeting spots for Iranian poets and writers. To follow their tradition will meet at different cafés in Toronto once a week, each one of us will bring a persian poem (or its translation) that we like to share or are curious to read. We’ll have time to discuss the poetry.
