Perth Folk and Roots Club is back at the Inglewood Bowling & Sports club on Sunday 26th May 2024 for a show with free music entertainment with the support of the City of Stirling and Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club. Perth Folk and Roots Club is also working with Act Belong Commit in recognition of music’s contribution to mental wellbeing. The performances are from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley. For this event, Perth Folk and Roots Club has Fiona Heath and The Snake Charmers band. Fiona Heath is originally from New Zealand. She brings expressive performance of original songs featuring acoustic music with jazz and soul influences. The Snake Charmers are a Midland and Maylands based rock and roll band that play a range of choice covers with musical influences including Warren Zevon, Tom Waites, Velvet Underground, Leonard Cohen and Nick Cave.

Perth Folk and Roots Club supported by City of Stirling and the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club has a Perth Folk and Roots Club series on the fourth Sunday of every month. The performances are from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street (Corner with Woodsome Street), Mount Lawley.

Background - Come along and enjoy listening to folk music by some of Perths best folk artists, meet people with a shared interest in folk and roots music or if you are a musician or singer, come and play a few songs for the audience.

Everyone is welcome - Show your support for folk music by participating as part of the audience or share your music passion by performing a song or two.

Performances - The Perth Folk and Roots Club operates on the fourth Sunday of the month and the lineup for the next months performances are usually determined within a week after an event. Suggestions for performances are welcome and members who are musicians and singers are encouraged to offer to perform one or two songs. Perth Folk and Roots Club performances feature three 45 minute sets of established musicians with up to 15 minutes in between sets set aside for up and coming musicians and singers to perform.

Organiser - The organiser sets lineups for performances and welcomes participants to discuss their interests as audience members and/or performers to ensure that everyone has input into future lineups and the chance to perform.

Venue - The Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club supports the Perth Folk and Roots Club with a venue and will be encouraged by members purchasing a drink there.

Transport - Ample free parking is available around the venue.

Time - Performances of the Perth Folk and Roots Club happen between 5pm to 8pm.
