The Perth GitHub User Group is a non-profit association of people who are interested in GitHub and its tools and products. We aim to gather once a month where we have a speaker sharing their knowledge and experience to help others find success using GitHub. We also have a chance to socialise with snacks provided by our sponsors.

Xmas Special: AI Model Battle Royal with David Smith

Santa wants to hire helpers; however, like standard hiring practices now days, it is so convoluted and over the top...
The only applicants are AI agents and given the volume of AI slop in hiring, the only judges are AI as well. This will therefore be a battle between different AI models, and the winner will become Santa's helper (where all the models will be prototyped and run using GitHub models.)
If everything goes right, it will be a Santa + Survivor battle royal in an iterative loop where AI models will have to form alliances and vote others off, challenge losers, and will also have their temperature increased to make them more random.
About the speaker:
David is a passionate technology professional with an architectural and computational design background, software development experience, and a Master of both Data Science and Architecture from UWA. He has experience leveraging this unique mindset and set of skills to solve complex problems, innovate, and bridge gaps between industry silos to generate value for various companies locally and nationally. He's worked in a wide range of industries, including: public art, architecture, VR & architectural visualisation, fabrication, software development, data science, education, and applied research.
David is currently a Senior Data & AI Consultant at Insight.
