Riverside Gardens (Bayswater), Baigup Wetlands & Kuljak Island (7km)

Come and have a muffin with us on Sunday morning!
Oh yes, there is a 7km walk as well.
Expect a mild but sunny morning with temperatures around 22°C for the walk rising to 23°C when we sit down for a coffee.
A brisk start to the day sees us heading to the Baigup Wetlands to view the beautiful spring fed lakes amongst the paperbarks and plentiful water birds, cross the Garrett Rd Bridge and through Ascot Waters making our way around Kuljak Island and then loop back to the start.
Dogs are welcome. There is a huge off-lead dog area for them to run nearby.
Difficulty
Expect a spirited walking pace of about 5.5-6km/h so people and dogs. The tracks are level and paved most of the way with a few compacted dirt paths.

The awesome Oarhouse Café has a well deserved reputation for its muffins and other gastronomic delights and the coffee is the best in this area. This is a very popular café, we might need to take our own chairs so leave one in your car.
