From Zero to a Spring Boot Data Bound Application on Pivotal Cloud Foundry in 7

What is Spring Boot? In this session you will be introduced to Spring Boot and how it supports Rapid Application Development and it's role in Cloud Native Applications.

We will build a live application using Spring Boot with IntelliJ IDEA and push it to the Cloud without having to configure a single VM. We will also have a look at Pivotal Cloud Foundry and how a deployment platform which supports all aspects of container management gives the Developer the control they need.

Pas Apicella is an Platform Architect at Pivotal where Pivotal's Spring and Cloud Foundry, combined with our unique approach to agile development and continuous delivery, are transforming how the world builds software.

He has code contributed to 3 OSS CF Projects at Pivotal and constantly blogs about Cloud Foundry and Spring where time permits. He graduated from RMIT with a Bachelor of Computer Science and since then has worked for companies such as Oracle, VMware and IBM in various different roles.

In his spare time he enjoys AFL Football, Tennis, long distance running and spending time with his family.
