Wake Up Your Workshops: 6 Brain-Friendly Practices for Change Makers
Details
Tired of talking at people about change and watching their energy drop off a cliff?
In this session, you’ll experience six simple, brain-friendly principles that turn passive listeners into active participants – whether you’re running a change briefing, a training session, or a workshop with stakeholders.
Drawing on Training from the BACK of the Room!, we’ll explore how movement, talking, writing, images & words, shorter chunks, and variety help people stay engaged and actually remember what you’re asking them to change.
You won’t just hear about the principles – you’ll use them. Through fast-paced activities, small-group breakouts, and a graphic organiser, you’ll try out each practice and see how it feels from the participant’s perspective. Then you’ll plan concrete next steps to apply the principles in your own sessions.
You’ll leave able to:
- List the 6 brain science principles behind more engaging sessions
- Apply them immediately to your own change workshops, trainings, and meetings
