Beyond the Keynote: The WWDC 2026 Developer Debrief
Details
Welcome to the July 2026 edition of the Perth Mobile App Developers Meetup!
Date: Thursday 23rd July from 5:00 PM
Join Claire McGregor and Stuart Hall from Appbot as they share their biggest takeaways from WWDC 2026.
- Claire will cover all the non-technical announcements that didn’t make the keynote, including the App Store, business updates, and the changes every Apple developer should know.
- Stuart will dive into Apple’s latest AI technologies, including Foundation Models, Visual Intelligence, and the lessons learned building real features. He’ll also share how to recreate the famous “Not Hotdog” app using Apple’s on device AI frameworks in iOS 27, along with practical insights you can apply to your own apps.
About the speakers:
**Stuart Hall **is a Perth-based mobile app founder, entrepreneur & angel investor. He is the co-founder and co-CEO of Appbot, a proudly bootstrapped and profitable platform used by 35% of the world’s top charting apps to understand and respond to mobile app feedback at scale.
Stuart has built and grown mobile apps with over 10 million downloads, including 7 Minute Workout, WordBoard Keyboard, and Discovr Music, with successful exits along the way. More recently, he co-founded Tiny Ideas with his Appbot co-founder Claire, where they build mobile apps primarily in health and fitness with a focus on simple, thoughtful products.
**Claire McGregor **started her career as a veterinary surgeon before training herself in multiple IT fields whilst working for UK-based e-commerce start-up, MedicAnimal.com. She then established Perth’s first tech accelerator program, a chapter of the Founders Institute, which she ran for its first two years.
Claire became a founder and entrepreneur when she joined Stuart Hall to form Appbot and has since grown that business to serve over 35% of the world’s top charting app developers, 98% of which are outside Australia.
