Perth Serverless has been Meetupless for too long! We are pleased to announce a return and hope that you will join us to hear from our guest speaker, Peter Sbarski.

The serverless approach to development of cloud-native applications has grown steadily over the past six years. A Cloud Guru was an early adopter of serverless technologies and became an Australian and global success story - a true unicorn - whilst staying true to its serverless roots.

In his presentation "Serverless Stories", Peter Sbarski will reveal how A Cloud Guru built their original serverless platform, how their approach evolved, and how he thinks about and builds applications now. This talk is 100% free of containers.

• How A Cloud Guru built its serverless architecture and the way it changed over time.
• How he builds serverless applications today and what is different.
• Common challenges to the serverless approach of software development and how he deals with them.
• What are the current serverless challenges and what cloud providers could do to help us.

Peter is an AWS Serverless Hero and is the author of Serverless Architectures on AWS. He was previously the VP of Education and Research at A Cloud Guru and organiser of Serverlessconf. Peter holds a PhD in Computer Science from Monash University, Australia.
