Geek Love and the holiday book gift event

For December, we’re holding a blind book gift exchange. The rules are simple: bring a new or gently used book, wrapped, with the genre and two descriptive words written on the outside. For example, if you’re giving The Hobbit, the genre would be “fantasy,” and the descriptors could be “quest” and “adventure.”

This month we’re reading Geek Love, by Katherine Dunn a dark, daring, and strangely tender tale of the Binewski family circus owners who intentionally breed their own “freak show” children.
