Stoney Lake kayak, Mount Julian/Viamede Launch

2-4 hour kayak/canoe outing.

Plan is to launch from the public dock at Viamede/Mount Julian, head west, then up to Burleigh Falls. From there, we follow the channel down to Juniper Island, and relax at the Stoney Lake Sailing Club.

After our land break, we paddle back to our launch point.

This is a good paddle for all except for novice paddlers, as their are sections of open water, as well as active boat traffic. If uncomfortable paddling in slight wind and waves, best to skip this excursion.

For the rest of us…it’s a fantastic paddle !!!
