Long Sault Conservation hike!!
Details
This is a good cardio test hike, long gradual descents, with some significant but not gruelling ascents.
Distance to hike is 7.5 Km. It is possible to shorten the hike by hiking the “Wild Turkey Trail”. Absent the shortcut, we hike “Blue Jay” trail to complete the hike. Trail is initially single track, but becomes double track, with very few exposed Roots or rocks to worry about.
(This is a very pretty hike, especially this time of year.)
After the hike, we head to the Hampton Diner…really great burgers, and good menu for those preferring other menu items.
Please note, and I stress this…do not GPS the drive, if you do, you’ll end up in the paid parking lot. The meeting point is Concession 10, just east of Grasshopper Park Road. (Google that, if running late or unsure of meet point, Text me at 705/750-7956.
We park on the shoulder of the road, there should be ample space.
