Mysterious Snowshoe Hike

This will be an 8.5 km snoeshoe hike in the Kawartha Highlands Park along the Mississauga River. The trail is located about 20 minutes north of Buckhorn.

The trail traverses the rugged landscape of the Canadian Sheild. Many great views of the Mississauga River.

This trail is challenging. Not for everyones. It offers a variety of terrain, some fallen trees, some bushwhacking, and wildlife viewing.

The plan is to meet at 9 AM in Buckhorn. From there, we will consolidate into one or two vehicles, then head for the trail. There is very limited parking at the trailhead.

Bring snowshoes, poles, and a hearty snack. Throw in your icers, just in case.
