Hike - Seaton Trail, Pickering
Details
59 minutes from Television Rd. The Seaton Trail from the top of Whites Rd (Forestream Trail) is an old favourite w plenty of beauty. We’ll follow a well used, but entirely single-track trail. We’ll cross Taunton Road, under the highway bridge! We’ll walk next to the high bluffs, looking way down onto the stream below. Then we’ll skirt a cornfield, to descend a long hill into the forest valley. Travelling along the trail we stay mostly in the valley with some comfortable rises and drops on our route until we reach Whitevale. A quick water break and back again, mostly w a continuous view of pretty Duffins Creek.
As always, be sure to wear good footwear for rooty or rocky terrain, and appropriate clothing to protect you from possible ticks. Use sunscreen, if you wish, but we are almost always out of the sun protected by the trees above us. If you wear sunglasses, wear your lighter tinted lenses. Let’s go for a hike!
