Hello everyone,
I hope everyone had a great holiday!
You might think that the world has become a little strange; somehow the world is more connected, but individuals are less connected. We have more distraction and less connection. We have more information, and we know less about each other.
As we move into 2026, I am creating this online weekly meeting to give everyone the opportunity to connect with others living through the same crazy times. Your neighbours who have their own stories, their own difficulties, and their own dreams and aspirations.
I took over the meetup group quite a while ago and I have been struggling to find activities that people would enjoy. But I think we can all agree we joined meetup to find a new groups of people, to make new friends, to try a new adventure, or to find something to do.
So, I have created this online weekly meetup to start us off!
Come join the free online weekly meeting and see who else is looking for something fun to do.
In the spirit of using technology to bring us closer together this is a great, easy, and inexpensive way to get to know each other, to brainstorm, and to develop plans and ideas for future group activities.
This is going to be a short online weekly meeting using Microsoft Teams just to get to know who might be lurking in the stranger-danger world of meetup groups before commitment yourself to get “all dressed up for a night-out” sort of speak. You can join from the weekly online meetup from your computer or mobile phone and meet people in the modern-old-fashion way.
