This is general networking session for any biology professionals, or those with interest in the field!

This month's we will have a short 5-minute kickoff presentation from a special guest. Nicholas Clark from Keller Postman will give a 5-minute presentation breaking down what elite law firms actually look for in STEM and public policy professionals. They are hiring for expert witnesses, client database manager, or document review protocol writers. These are roles that don’t get listed on job boards and are constantly in demand at elite law firms.

## Who these Jobs Are For

  • Life Sciences & Medicine: MDs, PhDs, Clinical Researchers, Epidemiologists, Public Health Professionals (MPHs), Ecologists, Soil Scientists, Agroecologists
  • Physical Sciences & Engineering: Environmental Scientists, Material Scientists, Hardware/Electrical Engineers, Civil Engineers
  • Computer Science & Technology: Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Software Developers, Robotics Experts, IT Personnel
  • Public Policy: AI Policy Experts, AI Safety Experts

After the presentation, you can enjoy a few hours networking, or attendees who are interested in legal work opportunities are encouraged to join Nicholas for a one-one-chat at a table in a quiet corner of the clubhouse where sign-up sheets for attendees with either STEM or legal backgrounds will be available.

This is first and foremost a casual gathering to swap ideas and build the DMV life-sciences and tech community. The tail end of the presentation will speak to law students and attorneys regarding mission-driven ways to serve the public good, while avoiding the “starving public interest lawyer at an underfunded nonprofit" trap.
For those laser-focused on bleeding edge tech, contact information for Deepa Acharya, partner and founding member of the Quinn Emanuel DC Office will be provided.

Join us for an enjoyable and unique evening with bio folks and bio topics! We will be on the very top floor, so go all the way up!
