8/25/17, 10:30PM: Folks, sorry I didn't update the meetup sooner. As I hope you already know, the Pride Austin Parade and Festival have been rescheduled because of Hurricane Harvey. The Tentative new dates are Sep. 16th for the Parade and Oct 21st for the Festival. I will send you updates as soon as we get confirmed dates.

Meet at 7:30 pm on San Jacinto between 11th and 14th St. Once our vehicles are staged, we will post the exact location of our contingent here as well as on our Facebook page, facebook.com/PFLAGAustin. Look for our "hugs not hate" banner (see pic).
San Jacinto is closed between 11th and 15th since it's the parade staging area. Streets on the parade route are closed (duh!). Make sure to check for street closures (http://www.downtownaustin.com/experience/street-closures). Allow extra time to find parking. I'd stay as far away as from those streets as possible. One possible parking location is the State Parking Garage A between San Jacinto & Trinity and 14th and 15th St.; enter on Trinity. That's where I parked in previous years. Also, you may want to consider parking somewhere near the middle of the parade route rather than at the parade start so when the parade is over, you don't have as far to walk back.
We will have coolers in our two parade vehicles with ice and water. If you cannot walk the parade, we have seating capacity for 8 people in our vehicles, first come first serve.
