plantmusic workshop VHS Pankow

Details
A couple of seats are left for the plantmusic workshop in Berlin that I am giving. This is the first ever plantmusic workshop at VHS in Berlin! It is in an intimate setting on Sunday, June 15th from 11 am until 4.15 pm parallel to ‚Langer Tag der Stadtnatur‘. We will jam with the plants in the end! If you always wanted to hear what your own plants have to say or how your synths might fit into a plantmusic concert bring them along. Weather permitting we‘ll be outside in the nearby park or in the event of rain we have plenty of plants inside. Spread the word.

Course Description:
The fact that plants make electronic music is not yet widely known. Join course leader Cassis B Staudt to hear how plants make synthesizers sound using biodatasonification. The basic knowledge is quickly learned and at the end of the course participants can take part in a private sound concert on the subject of weather and climate together with the plants. If the weather is nice, we listen to the plants in the nearby park. In bad weather, we work with potted plants. Bring some if you want to hear them!
Additional information: The course combines music theory, sound production and an introduction to sound transmission using the Midi protocol (Midi = digital interface for musical instruments). There are also tips on sound generation with synthesizers. You are welcome to bring your own midi-controlled sound generators as well as your favorite plants and rhythm instruments.
