Perhaps a cruise?

I have done some cruises which allows for other activities. I then dive when the ships stops at a port. This enables variety without all the expense of traveling to exotic places. I also do not use the on-board excursions, but tend to make my own arrangements at each port. There is also dive only cruises such as Blackbeard in the Bahamas....
