Polar Bear Grand Tour #1
The first stop on the[masked] Polar Bear Grand Tour is the VFW Hall in Cape May, NJ. The Polar Bear Grand Tour is a group of riders (Last year's registration stopped at 550) from as far away as Connecticut. Who ride on Sundays throughout the winter to various places in PA, NJ, NY, and DE. Registered riders accumulate points based on the amount of rides they make and their round trip mileage for those rides. Patches and Pins are awarded for certain point totals achieved. Info on the Polar Bear Grand Tour including the schedule and destinations can be found by clicking HERE ( If you are interested in registering (There is a registration fee of $25.00. $20.00 for AMA members) you still might be able to do it online instead of having to do it when we get there. With the online option the lines to register at Cape May have not been bad the last couple of years. You do not have to register with the PBGT to come along for the ride. Plus, just think, if you come out for the rides you will not have to invest in a battery tender to keep it charged for the colder months. Your using the bike will take care of that. We'll meet for coffee at 8:15 AM so as to be on the road by 9:00 AM for the ride down The route down may or may not involve some Highway Riding: The Blue Route, 95, The Commodore Barry Bridge. If you have one, remember your EZ-Pass, for depending on you route home you might need it to get out of NJ FYI - The Manhattan Bagel is in the Manoa Shopping Center on the west bound side of Rt 3 (West Chester Pike) app. 3/4 of a mile east of Exit 9 of Rt 476 (The Blue Route) By Law, Helmets must be worn by both Rider and any Passenger in NJ Hope to see you there
