Philly Salsa & Bachata Meetup Group

Come eat, socialize and enjoy an evening of Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Samba, Forro, Zouk and Kompa with friends from NYC, NJ, PA and DE.

DJs George D, Veronica MJ, Serge, and others will be spinning their fabulous sounds. Michael Payne, Eddie Alba are confirmed instructors so far. Chef Harry will be on the grill. He is a true grill master. In the past I've brought brats or boneless chicken to throw on the grill, but we've also had people contribute veggies, shrimp, turkey and salmon burgers, chicken sausages, etc. to Chef Harry's tender ministrations. I have yet to go home from one of these without 2-3 containers of leftovers for the coming week, once the festivities wind up.

They are our heroes, the brave men and women who wore the uniform and served our Nation, and on Saturday, November 8th,The Stardust Ballroom and our Latin Dance community will dedicate the night to them. So wear your red white and blue and your patriotic outfits to honor and remember.
This night dedicated to our Vets will start with the doors opening at 8:00pm for a little mingle time. At 8:30pm, Instructor Joey Marte will have his Salsa workshop, with his signature style of footwork and patterns with partners. These lessons are a great way and meet and greet lots of newpeople, so be sure to get there early. At 9:30pm, the dance floor opens up for a night of some of BEST Latin Dance, DJ Miguel LeBron spinning some the best in Salsa and Bachata music, with a dash of Cha-cha and Merengue as well. And the night will go on into the wee hours till 1:30am. (and after 1:30, well, who knows?")
Cover is just $15, and as a special, Veterns who served get in at the reduced cover of $10.00 for this event. (Please Identify yourself at the door) This is a BYOB event, and there will be a light buffet, with plenty of free off-street parking in the well lit parking lot. We will have our RESERVED table, down and to the left as you enter the Ballroom, look for the Meetup sign. Drop me a note if you have any questions, I will be at our table early.

Just got word that there will be another Latin Dance Event at Club 360 in Parx Casino, Bensalem PA, this time in November, tentatively for Noveember 12th . I don't have many details now, I'll update as I get them, but be sure to RSVP now and pencil in the date. These events are a nice mid-week break, with a cool vibe, plenty of free parking, and this might be a free event - details pending. So check it out, and maybe invite your friends.

What better way to start off the year's Holiday season than with a Holiday Ball Latin Dance event, at the beautiful Stardust Ballroom in Belmawr NJ. This will be the event to put on your Holiday best, polish up your dance shoes, and get ready to meet and greet lots of new people.
Doors open 8:00pm for buffet, giving you a little time to mingle and catch up with everyone. Then the night begins with a Bachata lesson at 8:30, these lesson are the perfect opportunity to meet some new people while picking up some cool moves for the dance floor. And you're gonna need them, because the night has just started - DJ Dro spinning the BEST in Latin Dance music and a live band at 9:30. And then another awesome night of Latin Dance that will go into the wee hours.
Special performance scheduled, pretty excited for this one, a hot Latin Dance performance to really add to the night.! So, to all the Meetup Salsa/Bachata dancers - get your RSVPs early for the Latin Nights Holiday Ball, where we will welcome back Adrian Anthony & Grupo Hipnosis to Stardust Ballroom in Bellmawr. This band really brought the heat at their last appearance, so you should get ready to hit the floor to a live band. DJ Dro and Rob & Marina will round out the lineup, making for this being THE EVENT of the year!! Yes, a night of Latin Dancing, Special performance, a Dinner buffet, and the perfect way to start off the Holiday season.
