If you want to be part of this TURN YOUR MESSAGES ON.

So this is actually more of a deadline than an event. I have 2 spots open for my now 2.5 year gaming group. We are a diverse, LGBT+ friendly group that meets every other weekend at a house in Philly. We are coming to the end of a campaign, and we are losing a player. I am looking for 2 players because I've found for every two you add, one tends to fit really well. Couples are welcome. I will be, over the next month, talking to interested people on discord and trying to parse out who might be a good match. We are on track for a session 0 for the new season Aug 16, but that might push to Aug 30 depending on the end of the current sessions. we play from 1-430 generally.

The new campaign will be a sandbox style campaign, with the goal to be more RP forward than the previous combat forward campaigns. Because it is a sandbox style campaign, your character and your character's goals are really going to be prominent. The players will drive a lot of the story, with me as the GM setting up opportunities and conflicts for you to help advance that story.

There is a lot of reading. Tons of white space and big pictures, but still a reasonable amount of reading about the setting. This is important reading, because the intention is to give you an idea of the world and the movers and shakers in it so you can devise your own character with their own fully realized ambitions and idea of where they fit into the world. This is because what I'm looking for is characters, not a set of stats. Within the parameters of the world, I am willing to entertain some pretty crazy ideas for character.

I will be providing one set of stats for everyone to use (modded by backgrounds). Heavily restricted race/species rules, moderately restricted classes.SIngle classes only, as multiclass is not well balanced. This is a game about story, not about "build."

Trigger warning The main religion draws heavily in sort of theme and pageantry etc from Catholicism. It is not Catholicism. I am personally an atheist so this is not a "christian game" or anything like that.

The medieval church just has a lot to offer and a lot of cool shit to draw from. It will not carry with it the baggage of real world religion though. The church is very much involved in the geopolitical situation as well (as might be expected). Religion may play an important part in some player's journey. As this is a campaign of exploring player stories, it is my expectation that everyone's journey at the table will be treated with respect.

Reach out to me in chat, and I will arrange for us to talk and for you to look over the materials for the campaign before there's any level of commitment.
