Quantum Machine Learning (QML) w/Ehsan Zahedinejad, 1QBit

Details
Content level: 200 -- Event is for the "Quantum Climber"
Speaker: Ehsan Zahedinejad, Quantum Machine Learning Lead at 1QBit
Quantum information processing is a new computing paradigm which promised to disrupt many applications across various industries.
In this talk I briefly explain the importance of quantum computing, specifically the reason behind the need for such a computing paradigm.
I then discuss the application of quantum computing in machine learning, and explain why and when we should expect to see a breakthrough
in quantum machine learning.
BIO: Ehsan is a senior machine learning scientist at 1QBit, with expertise in both classical and quantum machine learning. At 1QBit, he has led research and client projects in a variety of different industries. Ehsan holds a Physics’ PhD from the University of Calgary with the focus on quantum information processing. In his PhD studies he devised machine learning algorithms for the design of quantum logic gates. After completing his doctorate degree, he continued his research at University of Calgary as a postdoctoral fellow.
