This is a 3-part, simplified version of material presented in “Quantum Boot Camp,” the first course of the University of Maryland Quantum Information Specialization. Prerequisites: Algebra, trigonometry, probability.

Physicist engaged in quantum computing and communication; dynamics of ultracold atoms; atomic, molecular and optical physics; laser cooling, trapping and control; neutron interferometry and detector development; extreme ultraviolet light; applications of synchrotron radiation.
