I am a lawyer, teacher, and writer living in Philadelphia. This meeting is for international professionals who work (or want to work) in American business settings and want sharper, clearer communication. We will:

  • Discuss ways to make your writing and speaking more practical, brief, and specific
  • Talk about adjusting your tone/register for U.S. audiences without losing your voice
  • Tips that you can mmediately use to improve emails, reports, and presentations

We will

  1. begin with some quick introductions and discuss common challenges.
  2. Talk about a principle of clarity, and see how it should be used in American business writing. If someone brings material, we can talk about how improving that.
  3. Then, we can have questions and discuss future meetings.

If you want to bring your own work, make sure that it is no more than 400 words (email, report excerpt, slide notes, LinkedIn post, etc.). Submit by 9/15 (Mon) via Meetup message so I can queue it for live feedback.

Our meeting will be in English.

Please RSVP only if you’re confident you can attend—spots are limited.
