Easy fall camping

Finally the hot and humid summer is behind us and Fall is HERE. Time to get outside and hunt the Jersey Devil. I have two tent sites booked at Batona Campground in Wharton State Forest, NJ.

There is room for 6, 2 person tents, and a total of 4 cars.
Each site has a fire pit. My plan is to leave work and get there around 7ish to set up and cook, have a fire, then walk to the field nearby for stargazing.

The next day I plan to hike the 8 mile loop to Apple Pie Hill fire tower and back. It is not a difficult hike elevation-wise, but it is a workout.

There are no showers here, and only very rustic pit toilets.
Other than that downside I really like this location and have been here four times previously.
