Seger Park Pickleball & Table Tennis Meetup

The final 2023 Seger Park Pickleball Meetup will be on Sunday, October 29. The nets will remain on the courts. The rec director will continue to post the Meetup on the bulletin board outside of the rec center for Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 6-9 p.m. However, the Meetup is not managed and play will be on a first come first serve basis.
The tenth season of Seger Park Pickleball Meetup will begin on Sunday, April 2, 2023, and will continue through October. These Meetups are not for players who have never played Pickleball. They are not clinics or lessons. Please do not attend any Meetup if you have never played Pickleball. Beginners, defined as new players who have taken introductory lessons, are familiar with the rules and are beginning to develop their game, are welcome at the Saturday Meetup. Wednesday and Sunday Meetups are for intermediate and advanced players.
Pickleball Meetups are held on Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 6-9 pm, weather permitting. The play is on four courts. Andrew Freedman is the Wednesday and Saturday organizer. Braden Keith is the Sunday organizer. There is a $5 donation per player, payable by cash or Venmo, prior to court entry. The fee covers the Meetup costs and is collected on behalf of the Seger Park Advisory Council. Paddles and balls will NOT be provided by the Meetup.
The nets are fully assembled, and stationed at the side fence adjacent to each court. The nets will be placed on the courts before each session. At the end of the session, the players will return the nets to the side fences. DO NOT DISASSEMBLE THE NETS.
The Meetup sign-up opens at 8 am one week prior to the scheduled Meetup. If you sign up to play and don't show up, you will be suspended from joining the Meetup for two weeks. You must cancel at least two hours prior to the start of the session if you cannot attend. If you are on the waiting list, monitor it on game day and accept the notification if you are in. Don't show up without signing up.
Andrew Freedman is a Professional Pickleball Registry certified instructor. If you are interested in private or group lessons, contact Andrew through this Meetup. The fee is $40 for an individual lesson and $40 per player for a group lesson.
