Shadow Self Poetry

Details

Let's explore the latent, dormant, suppressed and enter the shadows of Self in our poetry. You might imagine a dusty attic in your mind that you keep on lock and key. Perhaps we stash things in there we don't want people to see. Things we don't even want to see ourselves for various reasons.

Shadow work comes from the term “the shadow self,” which was coined by famed 20th-century psychologist Carl Jung. In Jungian psychology, this term describes the unconscious parts of the personality that our conscious ego doesn't want to identify in itself.

Let's work on our poetry on our own time during the week. Then during the event on Saturday we'll share what we came up with. As usual zero poetry skills required. Any spoken word art form is welcome. It does not have to rhyme if you don't want it to. There is wholesome feedback after each share as usual. I look forward to exploring the shadows with you.
