Koan Poetry

Details
This is about the art of slowing down and noticing the subtleties of the present moment. One definition of koan poetry is,
"The koan or the poem is a bottomless site where we can dig for months, or years, or a lifetime; for as long as it takes until we alight on something that smells, or looks, or even more importantly feels necessary to us."
Sometimes we don't realize how quickly we move through life or how quickly we move through space and miss so much. We are tapping into the senses. We may like to write this by a river or in a park. Find resonance in the trees and winds. Notice the gentle tickle of the sun's rays.
There can also be thought provoking irony or contradictions in koan poetry:
“When both hands are clapped a sound is produced; listen to the sound of one hand clapping.”
We write the poems during our own time through the week. Then we share what we came up with during the event on Saturday 4/9/22.
As always zero poetry skills required. Any spoken word form of art is welcome. Interpretations are welcome. There is an optional feedback round between each share. Look forward to joining you in your muse.
