As vegans in a non-vegan world, we sometimes feel we have to come up with the perfect thing to say when someone pushes back on our beliefs. We kick ourselves for what we neglected to say. We research facts so we're prepared for the next conversation. We avoid people who may push too hard for our comfort. But maybe that perfect, elusive response is not really that important. What if holding space with compassion, allowing and welcoming (instead of fighting and avoiding) the pushback, is exactly what will help someone explore the depths of their own compassion?

Conversations with a Friendly Vegan is hosting this one-hour discussion about the simple, powerful, and loving act of holding space as a way to advocate for veganism and feel connected with all those wonderful humans out there who can leave us feeling skittish when they question our deeply held beliefs.

The zoom link will be sent via email a few days prior and on the day of the event. If you sign up within a few hours of the start time, check your email and your MeetUp direct messages for the link.
