Philly AAPI Poetry Collective

We are an intergenerational collective of poets and writers in the Philadelphia area who identify as Asian / Asian American / Pacific islander and who are passionate about exploring the intersections of poetry, identity, community engagement, and activism.

We meet every two weeks for an hour and a half, alternating in-person and on Zoom, to workshop and generate poetry pieces, write together and share on different selected topics, and explore writing by AAPI authors and poets.

Our vision: To have the opportunity to engage in a poetic space where we can listen to and learn from each other as writers, help each other feel seen in terms of both shared and diverse values, lift up and amplify AAPI voices, and explore our unique stories together. Wherever you are on your journey of writing, whether you have experience with poetry or not, we hope that this space will help you explore your own poetic voice with other awesome individuals.
