Welcome to the Meetup group for the Philly Freeriders Snowboard and Ski Club (PFR)!
PFR is a Philly-based social snowboarding and skiing club. We organize several ski/snowboard trips throughout the country every winter/early spring and get together locally for monthly social events. Our members are younger in body AND mind, mostly in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. Our experience levels vary from first timers to cliff-jumping experts. Regardless of your skill level, you are bound to find somebody you can hang with on a group trip.
We are a non traditional ski club that operates without elected positions, affiliations, membership dues, and itinerary-based trips.
Upcoming trips are listed on meetup.com. If you have any questions on them send a message to the trip host. Most overnight trips require payment to be put on the 'going' list. Trips sell out fast so make sure to get your payment in as soon as you are sure you can commit.

The rest of the payment is due August 31st.

Refunds after August 31st are only given if you find a replacement for your spot, or if the trip fills and someone else takes your spot.

Cancellations/changes after Nov 7th will incur a $160 fee.

**Update 5/5/25**: We have 12 spots left. If you sign up at this point, there is a high likelihood you will be placed on a pull out couch. To avoid this, you can pay double to reserve your own room or you can also share a king bed with someone else.

Ski in ski out at Mammoth!

Stay right next to a lift in 2BR condo units with full kitchens, a hot tub, heated pool, and natural hot springs nearby.

February is typically Mammoth's snowiest month.

In March 2026, the Philly Freeriders Ski and Snowboard Club will head to one of the most iconic ski destinations in the world: Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. Nestled in the French Alps, this legendary resort offers epic ski terrain across five ski areas, a vibrant alpine culture in an authentic town, world class dining, and easy access from the Geneva airport; all at incredible value for your money. Lodging cost is only $475 per person.

If you haven’t been with us on a European trip yet, I highly suggest joining us on this one. Our trips to Val Thorens in 2024, and Zermatt 2025, were in my opinion, the best PFR trips yet. American ski resorts significantly lack behind the Alps, in both skiing terrain, and ski town atmosphere.
