Come, hang out and learn something new meeting likeminded people interested in working with Graph Databases, Data Science, Civic Engagement and Journalism

Intro and Demo:
We'll give an in-depth account of how to find open civic data sources, clean your data and formate for importing. We'll also briefly go over how to upload CSV data into a neo4j's desktop app (https://neo4j.com/sandbox-v2/#) so you can begin to query and visually represent your data.

Hands-on Practice:
The hands-on practice will allow participants to try and query the provided data we have for testing.

What to bring:

  • Laptops are encouraged but not necessary for this meetup.
  • Bring Yourself and a curious mind ready to tackle interesting problems.
