Panel Discussion
ESPN and Sports Illustrated columnist Andrew Brandt (https://www.linkedin.com/pub/andrew-brandt/7/875/275) will lead a panel discussion about how local major league teams are using technology, mostly about mobile, for fan engagement and for back-office/player management.
The panelist lineup includes:
Linda Thomas (https://www.linkedin.com/in/1lindathomas) - Eagles Digital & Social Media Director
Rob Johnson (https://www.linkedin.com/in/johnsonr) - Flyers VP of Business Development
Tim McDermott (https://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=21048444)- 76ers Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer
Mike Harris (https://www.linkedin.com/pub/michael-harris/b1/735/509) - Phillies Director of Marketing and Special Projects
We will also feature demos from two local sports tech companies.
Demos
StubHub (https://www.stubhub.com/) - Michael Johnston (https://www.linkedin.com/pub/michael-johnston/14/2a9/7)
StubHub provides a secondary marketplace for fans and venues to buy and sell tickets to Broadway shows, football games and concerts. They recently shook up their mobile app, marking the start of a dramatic strategic overhaul as the company seeks to build a better connection with its user and make itself a resource for discovering and planning for events. Michael will show how they use data around mobile/web traffic to make business decisions.
A View From My Seat (http://aviewfrommyseat.com/) - Frank Panko
A free service where event goers can share their photos, reviews and experiences, from their seats at live events. You can use it while researching tickets, so you know exactly what you're buying, and if there may be a better deal near by. Having a great fan experience starts here.

The Hub is a new - and more costly - venue for us, hence the $10 (modest) cover charge. Never worry - there will be plenty of food and drink as usual thanks to our sustaining supporters:
Duane Morris (http://www.duanemorris.com/attorneys/richardlcohen.html), EisnerAmper (http://www.eisneramper.com/), goEmerchant (http://offers.goemerchant.com/integrated-payments), Blackstone LaunchPad (https://www.sciencecenter.org/programs/blackstone-launchpad), Temple University (http://www.fox.temple.edu/cms_research/institutes-and-centers/innovation-entrepreneurship-institute/academics/graduate-program/), TriNet (http://www.linkedin.com/pub/gabrielle-bozek-fpc/19/367/15a/en), Chariot Solutions (http://chariotsolutions.com/).
Special thanks to our event sponsor Ranstad Technologies.
This event is five days before the Pope's visit, so no worries about getting around or into the city.
