Camelback Mountain North and South Loop (difficult)

Details
Well, technically its a plateau, not a mountain, but it feels like one! Camelback Mountain is better known for its ski area and water park, but hiking it has a plenty and the trails often times go overlooked. But overlooked can mean uncrowded! The views from the summit of the mountain take in the rolling Pocono Front and the distant notches of the Delaware Water Gap and Wind Gap in the great wall of the Blue Mountain. Topped by a popular auto road, we will visit the less visited vistas around the summit.
This is a more difficult 7 mile loop. There is an elevation gain of around 800 feet in about 1 mile. This climb can be quite strenuous. Please make sure you feel comfortable with this level of exertion. The trail is quite rocky in places. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear for the trail. Bring adequate water and some extra calories to keep you going.
We will be meeting up at the Riday Trailhead off Railroad Dr./N Rd. (452 N, Stroudsburg, PA 18360) at 9am. Make sure you are on time. There is limited parking at the trailhead. Once we start I will be unable to check my phone.
Link below for the AllTrails map and trail description. You can also copy directions to the trailhead from there. Note, I will be altering the route slightly.
Hike will cancel from severe weather.
