Raymondskill Falls from Milford Knob (moderate/difficult)

Details
The upper Delaware River Valley is renowned for its idyllic scenery, its rich history and its many waterfalls which cascade down the surrounding mountainsides. That includes the state’s tallest at 178 feet from top to bottom: Raymondskill Falls. On our way to the falls we’ll travel along the sheer Minisink Cliffs with expansive views over the upper Delaware River to the Kittatinny Mountain ridge beyond.
This will be a moderate to difficult 8 mile loop hike depending on fitness level. There ups and downs along the way totaling about 1600 feet of elevation change. The climbs may be strenuous for some. Make sure to bring water, some extra calories and appropriate footwear for a rough and rocky trail. We will make stops at the falls and viewpoints along the way.
We will be starting at 9am from the Milford Knob trailhead parking area along route 209 just south of the town of Milford, PA. Please arrive on time. We start at 9am sharp and once we begin hiking I will not be checking my phone for anyone arriving late. Please ensure you keep your RSVP current so I know how many people to expect.
