Details

Considered a local Jewel, the park is located in Western Hunterdon County NJ. Created in 2004 to protect the land from residential development.
With 1000 acres to explore, there something for everyone.
The park has rolling hills, lush forested ravines and tumbling creeks.
Its high meadows are home to meadowlarks, bobolinks, redwing blackbirds, white tailed deer and many other grassland species. Bald eagles and hawks are believed to nest here. Copper Creek and other small streams flow through the park before tumbling down the bluffs into the Delaware River.

Perimeter hike with 8 Undulating Hilly miles.
Slight elevation change with one 200 foot climb.
There will be rocks, roots and wet/muddy sections so wear appropriate foot wear.
Will need to be alert for the Red Eye Toad as they emerge to feed.
Water crossings if it rains prior to event.
Bring water and a snack, will make brief stops to take in views.
Facilities are available.
Traction device and poles are recommend for the winter season.
Will cancel for unpleasant weather.
Mobile service is spotty.
