West Philly Bible Study: The Book of Judges

Caught between the realized victory of the promised land and the dawning of the house of David, the days of the judges were filled with turmoil. The abundance of God's provisions gave way to spiritual famine, the security of God's covenant was exchanged for the fickle pagan gods, and the truth of God's word was forgotten as people turned to doing whatever was right in their own eyes.

It's not hard to see relevant messages for today in the book of Judges. A cycle of spiritual decay is still a threat to God's people.
