Unity Game Development for iOS

Details
Unity is an extremely popular game engine, particularly for small teams. The ability to produce games for almost every conceivable platform allows developers to move quickly and cover all their bases with a single project. If you haven’t worked with Unity before, this workshop will provide an overview of developing games in the Unity workflow, and introduce the basic concepts you need to get started on your own.
When developing for mobile, however, there are lots of instances where the tools that Unity provides can leave your project running slowly and unresponsive on device. This workshop will also cover best practices when developing mobile Unity games. Performance issues will be addressed, as well as basic GameCenter integration.
During the workshop, we’ll be walking through the development of a simple iOS game. Starting with a completely empty Unity project, we will be adding code, images, and sound, and finishing with a deliverable that could be uploaded to the App store.
We’ll be covering a variety of topics:
• Basic Unity 5 development workflow
• iOS-specific caveats for building Unity games
• Simple GameCenter integration
• How to push a Unity 5 project to the App Store
You’ll walk away with:
Copies of all the instructional materials
