7:15 - Second Talk - Tyler Schade - Intro to Open Policy Agent (https://openpolicyagent.org) is a powerful tool for simplifying authentication and policy-based security architectures in cloud-native environments. In this talk, we will start from scratch with an overview of the principles of policy as code, Open Policy Agent basic concepts and integration strategies, and work all the way up to integrating Open Policy Agent into an existing go-based web service.
Tyler Schade is a software engineer at solo.io, working on simplifying complex cloud architectures with Gloo Platform (https://www.solo.io/products/gloo-platform/). Prior to working at solo, Tyler was a tech lead at Ironnet Cybersecurity where he led development for IronDome, enabling cross-network anomaly detection. Tyler spent the last 4 years in Philly but as of August, lives in Miami, Florida, and enjoys lifting weights, reading, snowboarding and mountain biking.
