Networking and Featured Panel: College Admissions and Career Pathways
Details
Join us at the Philly EdTech Meetup for our November networking event, featuring a panel of founders and professionals in the admissions and pathways space.
We'll hear a variety of views on the current state of the college admissions process, and how students are plotting out their futures. The voices on our panel range from our local school systems to the local edtech ecosystem. We'll dive into the rapidly-changing higher-ed landscape, the innovative new systems to support student career pathways, and the impact of new technologies like AI.
Our featured panelists include:
Amy Kopelman: Amy is the Founder and CEO of Pathlitics, a postsecondary navigator for students who learn differently. Amy has led product management organizations at Relay Network, Ecount (acquired by Citi), Travelocity, and American Express.
Carmen Rodi: Carmen is a School Counselor with the School District of Philadelphia at Furness High School in South Philly. She is also an active member of the Pennsylvania Association of College Admissions Counseling (PACAC.) She has a BA in Sociology and M.Ed & Certificate of Advanced Study in Counseling.
Jared Epler: Jared is a licensed therapist and K-12-certified school counselor, and co-founder of Forget the Rankings, which revolutionizes college access by combining innovative technology and tactile elements to prioritize student well-being. With over 15 years of experience in education and mental health, he champions a holistic approach to college counseling.
We'll bring the food and drink, and you can meet local leaders in the Philly edtech community. See you there!
